Overhauled Period – After every about 18 months/ runs about 2Lac kms
For overhauling, the bogie needs to be completely dismantled. To facilitate disassembly and inspection of dismantled components, bogie needs to be thoroughly cleaned prior to their disassembly.
Purpose of this plant is to clean the bogies, prior to their disassembly, while they are on their own wheel, remove the deposited muck, oil, soil etc, up to exposing the bare painted surface of bogie.
